“Animals”: A Toxic Bomb

When the Frog Brigade returns to the road in October, they will be treating fans to a new, two-set show that delves deeper into their own remarkable catalog. His trademark voice, thumping bass lines and unique worldview have become the calling cards for a number of wildly successful and influential albums in the last two decades.

Unless a film of the Animals tour suddenly surfaces one day, this will just have to suffice. Pink Floyd fans have basically given up any hope of a reunion or even another Waters-free tour like the ones in 1987 and 1994. At least give them this.
The biting and cynical lyrics are a concoction the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sol Alinsky, and Vito Corleone, and offer no counter-weight in the pursuit of pure power.
Waters is now singing and, even though the acoustic is strumming the same exact chords, the music contains a completely different vibe. But in what turns out to be a rather shrewd and cunning move, Waters split the song into two parts of nearly equal length, omitting the guitar lead and also significantly increasing his album royalties as they were on a per-song basis. Musically is where this song really shines, especially the array of key parts performed by Wright along with the sharp, biting guitar crunches and cool sound effects throughout.

But through his myriad of musical and creative projects, Claypool has also become a favorite of jam banders, funk connoisseurs and pretty much everything in-between.
What do they do? They get rowdy and they drink beer. Above Many people thought this was a spectacular entrance by one of the band members! More rowdiness followed until the show actually started … Daniel also remembers Roger freaking out after a firework that pretty much everyone heard in the Stadium!
Remember, this is the first big concert at the Stadium and the security DOES NOT really know how to handle big events of this type: People sneak in glass bottles, recorders, etc. Some people leave during the Blues number That Pink Floyd played to try to calm the crowd but most of the crowd stayed to see the band do the Blues number while roadies get the equipment out apparently Nick Mason was HILARIOUS since at the end he basically had nothing but his seat and one of his drums. Overall, the show itself was not bad but the crowd was too much. The party continued on the streets later on. This next set of pictures were taken before the show in the morning.

A personal project combining these two sources to make up the complete show. I used rec 1 for the primary source because it sounded a bit more well-balanced to my ears compared to the thinner-sounding rec 3; rec 3 was used to fill the missing pieces. Песни постепенно менялись, и превратились, соответственно, в «Dogs» «Собаки» и «Sheep» «Овца».
Уотерс заметил, что песни объединяет общая идея — изображение социальных слоёв в аллегорическом животном виде, — и уже сознательно написал ещё одну композицию «Pigs» «Свиньи». Подобную идею уже с успехом опробовал английский писатель-социалист Джордж Оруэлл в своей сказке-притче «Ферма животных». Она представляла собой горькую пародию на российскую революцию 1917 года и подарила миру знаменитый афоризм «Все животные равны, но некоторые из них более равны, чем остальные».

The album was released to generally positive reviews in the United Kingdom, where it reached number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. Its construction took up most of 1975, and in April 1976 the band started work on their tenth studio album, Animals, at the new facility. Animals was engineered by a previous Floyd collaborator, Brian Humphries, and recording took place at Britannia Row from April to December 1976, continuing into early 1977. They were reworked to fit the new concept, and separated by a Waters-penned composition, "Pigs Three Different Ones ". Gilmour was distracted by the birth of his first child, and contributed little else towards the songwriting of the album. The band had discussed employing another guitarist for future tours, and Snowy White was therefore invited into the studio. Although his performance was omitted from the vinyl release, it was included on the eight-track cartridge version. White later performed on the Animals tour.
